$360,000,000 to renovate MCI-Framingham?
Are you people out of your fucking minds?
MCI-Framingham already costs us about $250,000 per inmate per year/ or $680 per day per inmate.
The suites at the Sheraton Tara costs less than $300 a night
and you get continental breakfast and free wifi..
This will easily drive the annual cost per inmate to $500,000 or $1,369/night.
Note Shawttuck Hospital that costs us $436,000 per inmate per year..
Tell us again, how does one provide correctional services to those inmates with a LIFE sentence
who have shown a distate for human life and those who perhaps have eaten tasty human life.
We just keep feeding them in their cages until they slowly die by age 80-85.
Who is getting punished here? The inmates or the taxpayers?
It's no wonder we have such a low incarceration rate.
Imagine the scenario of a 30 year old women who chops off her husbands testicles
because he raped her, and he dies, it might cost the taxpayers 50 * $500,000 = $25,000,000.
A million $$ here, a million $$ there! Soon we're talking real money!

On a side note, the total cost of this renovation project, $360,000,000 is just below
the annual cost of running the City of Framingmam which is about $380,000,000.
