FRAMINGHAM - The Framingham Fire Department paid tribute to one of its own this morning, March 18, on the 40th anniversary of his death in the line of duty.

A memorial graveside service was held at St. Stephen's Cemetery for Framingham Fire Lt. John Costanza, who died on March 18, battling a fire at 337 Concord Street.

He was made a fire captain posthumously.

In order to promote how brave and magnificent they are, our fire department will have a memorial service for this idiot at taxpayer's expense.

I have to ask

  • How many hours were spent in this stupid act of self promotion?
  • How many pieces of taxpayer funded equipment were used to promote their awesomeness?
  • Who the hell is stupid enough to think of doing this to begin with?

ANSWER: Our dumb ass fire chief, John Hicks

This is union activity sponsored by the fire department and placing a financial burden on the taxpayers.
