Police/AMR Usage of Handicap parking
Ever since I got a free year of TMobile access after buying an OLPC on the Get One, Give One plan, I've combined my love for Dunkin Donuts coffee and my internet addiction. This allows me to study the local gendarmes at their favorite watering hole on Framingham's Serengetti Plain.

If you have other pictures, please send them to me. I will add them to my collection.

First, a view of this handicap space area at the Dunkin Donuts by the Mass Pike entrance . It's clearly marked with signs and lines. Only the blind would not see them.

Next, a tutorial on identifying a parking space.
It is an area of asphalt between two white lines.
It's important to consider the fact that a car may already be occupying that same space before you park there.
Here are a couple of pictures to help you along.

Please notice the three empty parking spaces between the two cars.

Finally, we get around to pictures of well marked vehicles that are distinctly attracted to handicapped spaces. None of these actually have handicapped tags, but the operators of the vehicles may be mentally handicapped. This is most difficult to diagnose. Only police officers like Gregory Reardon can diagnose mental illness from a distance.

Each morning, the Framingham police descend on Dunkin Donuts by the Mass Pike entrance like a swarm of hungry locusts. This is merely one man's view of their behaviour on one handicapped parking space. There are many other individuals who view the same behaviour in other handicapped parking spaces throughout the town.

I file complaints to our police chief but all I get back is a nice letter usually stating

Dear Mr. Wolfe,

Thank you very much for pointing out this egregarious behaviour from our staff.

We of course take these complaints very seriously.

We will be sure to give the offender a serious tongue lashing.

We will most certainly of course send them a letter of reprimand for their reprehensible conduct.

Thank you again.

Police Chief Steven Carl

Of course, the behaviour of parking this way continues. Nothing changes.

I emphasize here that each case here involved a police officer or paramedic simply getting coffee. None of these were "on duty".

The photos are in chronological order.

Another arrogant self serving police bureaucrat corrupted by power sets a bad example for the rest of us.

This arrogant prick, Donald E. Waite, did not want to identify himself to me as he exited the Dunkin Donuts at Stop and Shop. His face says it all. A great example of stupidity from the Middlesex Sheriff's office. This incident started a separate page on one arrogant Sheriff DiPaola. The parking area by Stop and Shop has over 200 spaces but none were as convenient as the fire lane.

See letter submitted.

October 6, 2009: Got a call from Sheriff DiPaola himself. The matter will be looked into. Jim DiPaola felt that the word prick was too strong. Too bad! DiPaola refused to identify the prick! More arrogance.

This Wayland cop ( Sgt. Charles Akins ) parking in that special Police Parking Only spot gave me a lot of attitude until I pulled out my recorder and told him he was being recorded. He zipped his lip immediately. Didn't have the belly for it. Wayland cop trying to be a tough guy in Framingham. Gives the Wayland police department a bad reputation. See my communications with Lt. Swanick.

Akins's apology accepted.

This guy was going to park legally but decided this would be more convenient.

The following was officer Rivera in Framingham's cruiser 964.
I thanked him profusely for setting a good example for the community.
He questioned my sanity and grunted back.

Another nice organization that like these spots is American Medical Response. Like the police, they believe that their vehicles may be invisible to the public.

This particular state police thug followed me home when I left.
I filed a complaint to the Governor's office and the local state police barracks.
Next time one follows me out, I will file numerous charges against them.
