FRAMINGHAM -- Police said a Framingham man made a disturbing and disgusting discovery when he came home early Sunday morning and found a man sleeping in his ransacked bedroom who had used the floor as a toilet.

Willian Herrera-Ortiz, 24, was arrested at 46 Pine St. at 2:33 a.m., police spokesman Lt. Paul Shastany said.

The victim, whom police did not identify, came home around 2:20 a.m. and went to his room in his apartment.

Once there, he discovered a stranger sleeping in his bed, Shastany said. His computer and several other items that were on the desk were thrown to the floor, where the victim made another discovery.

"There was what appeared to be feces and urine on the floor in the middle of the room," Shastany said.

The victim left the apartment and called police. The victim said neither he nor his roommates knew the man or had any idea how he got into the apartment.

Police identified Herrera-Ortiz through his Guatemalan passport. When police woke him up, he refused to say why he was there or where he lived.

Herrera-Ortiz was charged with breaking and entering and malicious mischief causing more than $250 worth of damage.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Framingham District Court today.
