Downtown crime concerns Wednesday, November 10, 2004
Frank J. Genova Metrowest Daily News
The rash of downtown crime disturbs me as well as many residents of Framingham.  In Sunday's article "Trouble brewing in town:  Law enforcement officials want to nip the problem in the bud."  This may be a politically-correct statement, but what does it mean?

In the same article officer Alfano says, "It's just a group of individuals who hang out together to commit crimes, we're dealing with them."  This has got to be the most uninsuring statement that I have ever heard.

There was a time, not too long ago, when residents outside of downtown, said "Don't go downtown after dark."  Now many feel they shouldn't even go downtown during the day.

So much for downtown revitalization.
