While children of illegals born in the United States are US citizens, we should not be encouraging illegal aliens to come here to have children. The Framingham problem is that we are way to welcoming and our police chief states unequivocally immigration is not his problem when in fact, it really is his problem. He exercises dereliction of duty each and every day and should be fired.

Note that the total school costs in fiscal 2008 was nearly $138 million and we had about 8,450 students. This tells us that the annual cost of educating one child in Framingham's public school system is now over $16,000.

We can speculate as to how many children of illegals we have in our schools but this page provides a tool to estimate the total costs of our Plyler V. Doe population.

You decide how many illegals we have in Framingham and choose how many in that group are reproducing their adorable little anchor babies. that you will pay to educate. Find the number that satisfies your best guess and multiply it by $16,000 to calculate the money you will pay from your right pocket, or your left pocket.

The following table has certain underlying assumptions:

  • the illegals coming in are split 50/50 by sex,
  • they have one anchor or jackpot baby per couple,
  • there is no menage a trois stuff.

If you believe that there are 15,000 illegals in Framingham and 20% are reproducing, then we have 1,500 children of illegals. Then multiply this number by $16,000 to estimate the school costs = $24,000,000 or $24 million.

From a state Department of Education web page you can see that the larger demographic numbers are piling up in the lower grades as we mostly and systematically educate the children of Brazil

It's bad enough that Plyler V. Doe is an unfunded federal mandate and makes the US a magnet, but here in Framingham, we create other incentives to bring the illegals in.

Both our pre-kindergarden program and our full day kindergarden programs subsidizes those too poor to pay. Guess who is going to be too poor to pay? You only get one guess.

We also have our Welcoming Proclamation and our police policy that states it's not their job to enforce immigration laws.

And finally, there is an upcoming 2011 Override Coming . Will you chip in more money to pay for the education of the children under the jurisdiction of another country?
