- I would suggest an underride in every meeting to
undo the unnecessary 2002 override.
Alternatively, I would want no tax increase for three
consecutive years to undo that 2002 override.
- I will take any no new taxes pledge.
- Each time a financial report shows up in front of me
that shows deficit spending, I would lambast the CFO, the
Finance Committee and Town Manager for even suggesting
or proposing that we spend more than what we make in
revenues.
We should only plan to spend the amount of revenues we make.
Period. Punto. Finito.
Why is this so difficult for them to understand?
- I would rescind our
Welcoming Proclamation
- I would attempt to replace the police chief and other
staff members who do not show any desire to enforce
immigration laws.
- I would scrap the
Framingham police policy
stating that immigration law enforcement is not
part of their job. This is simple dereliction of duty.
- I would push for a study of illegal aliens in Framingham,
much like the PILOT study.
- I would place banners across our streets stating
Illegal Aliens Are Not Welcome in Framingham.
- I consider Framingham's
$431 million
in long tern debt and unfunded liabilities
to be economic mismanagement and
financial incompetence.
- I'd like to see a complete re-write of our excessively
complicated Byzantine, nickel and dime you to death,
union contracts.
- I would push to sell all town owned land that was not
being actively used by the town.
- I would push to modify the teachers contract such that
last-in first-out is not a policy on layoffs.
- If town employees are unwilling to pay 25% of their health
insurance, I suggest we freeze salaries for a three year
period or until they capitulate.
- I would suggest to every business that they use E-Verify
and ask them what percentage of their business is handled by
contractors and sub-contractors.
- The Town of Framingham should have a Tax Me More
account for those who believe that the town government is
better at spending their monies than they are. This
account should be well advertised on the town web site
and any show where the town manager shows up.
